The film director Martin Mejia has been using a few musical notes composed by me in his short "A story of Johan". There is some really great atmosphere in the movie, and the field recorded sounds and music fit very well with the pictures.

A really cool video by Mattias Rickardsson is now available on the Internet. It shows Christian Andersson's art installation in Otterndorf, Germany in the spring/summer of 2005 when Mattias and I teamed up with Christian for the construction. Check it out, if you have not seen the chairs live!

Le Placard-recording online [[2006-08-24 12:43:23]]

On Sync24's webpage you can download and listen to my performance (as well as the others) this summer at the headphone festival. They are in the popular ogg-format, and most mp3-players handle these files as well.

Also when I'm writing this it can me nice to tell you about the mobile phone interference that you can hear around 9 minutes into the performance; they were actually part of my broadcast; and result was what I wanted it to be - some people in the audience running around looking for their phones! ;)

Svante at Swedish national radio!? [[2006-08-17 23:45:41]]

A short snippet of my field recording "Möllevången - Italia - France - Berlin" was played last tuesday (15/8) at Swedish national radio SR P1, in the program "Kropp & själ" (body & soul). The topic for the show was sounds in peoples surroundings, and how they affect people.

Yeay! :) My application got me accepted for a seat at the Arduino workshop at Ars Electronica's Electrolobby in Linz, Austria. Hopefully it will be a nice time there with a lot of new ideas, projects and meeting new people!

dillchip3.0 - New design - New features [[2006-07-20 23:55:56]]

I needed to do some redesigning on this page to be able to add information in an easy(ier) way. Along with some administration tools that I have created for my own needs, I've also changed the design and added a list of performance/live shows. Could be cool? Other parts of the page, like thumbnail galleries will be redesigned as well for dillchip3.1, when I get some more time. And, I am also planning to supply some RSS/Atom-feeds for those that use modern technlogy. Stay tuned! (or maybe just a slighty detuned mmmmm...) Please note that Internet Explorer 6 seems to have some problems with the standard UTF-8 coding that I am now using... Hmm... Either manually select "Unicode (UTF-8)" or use Firefox :)

I'm performing tonight as part of the Placard headphone festival, in an apartment in Gothenburg. Both local and global (Tokyo, Geneva, Toronto, Amsterdam) artists are performing, and you can hear Nim, goto80, sin(theta) among others. Since this is in a private apartment, you may enter only by invitation, but you are all free to listen to the webstream. (Remember to listen with you headphones! ;) 15 July 2006 17-23 CET.

Metal-Ambient Hugs [[2006-02-12 14:03:05]]

So what happend yesterday? Well, the Hugs-gang gathered with some rock/metal-guys to perform during this special event at Big Love... (Signal In The Heavens/A Lot Goes On Forever by Bryndis Hrönn Ragnarsdottir & Geirthrudur Finnbogadottir Hjörvar) Go there now, to check the trails of what happend!!! (Yes, old picture, I know... there were pictures taken, and both video and audio in stereo recorded at the event, but I don't have any evidence...)

I've been working with technical details (together with Mattias Rickardsson) in Christian Andersson's installation '9 was 6 if', which is shown in Otterndorf, Germany until the end of June. It will also be shown at Göteborg International Biennial from September to November in Göteborg, Sweden. It's a great piece, do not miss it! Two normal chairs... Black and white, or?

New Portable Music Instrument! [[2005-06-10 00:40:35]]

I and Hanna Källs are creating a pair of instruments, each controlled by a pair of contact microphone-equipped gloves. Our "work-in-progress-performance" at 141:an in Göteborg at 28th of May was really clicks and cuts... Nice, but still this platform can do much more than that. Be sure that this piece of equipment will be used a lot later as it is ultra portable (no stinkin' laptop! ;-). Documentation is coming later as well.

Live at Oboi@Atalante [[2005-03-02 20:33:06]]

The workshop-collective Hugs (which I'm part of) were playing live at Oboi@Atalante/Göteborg at 050219. We had a sound-battle with the very nice modern popband "My Enemy". Too bad I didn't had time to announce it here until afterwards as the show was quite cool... Check out Oboi and Atalante in the future for more nice evenings!

Installation in January 2005 [[2005-01-14 08:59:53]]

I'm setting up an video installation in January 2005 together with Gu Jian and Michael Edwards. Video and audio is re-generated in realtime, using different topics and different personalities giving you a feeling of listening to a conversation; a conversation you can not tell if it really happened or not.
The venue is the entrance to Vallhallabadet (located in Gothenburg, Sweden). Opening hours fri (14/1) 10-18, sat (15/1) 10-18, sun (16/1) 11-15.
